Permissions We Request

MindMark requests only the permissions required for highlight capture, account sign-in, sync reliability, and side panel functionality.

• storage: stores extension settings and local highlight state.
• identity: signs you in so highlights are linked to your account.
• alarms: supports background maintenance tasks for reliable sync.
• tabs: identifies the active tab when saving a user-selected highlight.
• sidePanel: shows saved highlights for review and organization, and provides settings.
• host permissions: allow highlighting and saving on pages where you choose text.

Remote Code

MindMark does not use remote code. JavaScript and other executable code used by the extension are packaged with the extension release.

Data We May Collect

Depending on how you use MindMark now or in the future, we may process:

• Personally identifiable information (for example, account email or profile identifiers).
• Authentication information needed to keep you signed in securely.
• Web history context necessary to associate saved highlights with source pages.
• User activity related to extension features (for example, highlight saves and sync events).
• Website content you choose to save (for example, highlighted text and your notes).

How We Use Data

• Deliver core highlight capture, storage, sync, and review features.
• Maintain product reliability, including sync and background maintenance behavior.
• Support users and investigate product issues.

Our Commitments

• We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties outside approved use cases.
• We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to MindMark's single purpose.
• We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
